"Our wedding was a fairytale. From our sunset ceremony at the Pergola to dancing on the open deck under the stars at the reception, the entire experience was a dream come true...Just the way the day that you committ your life to another should be. Our photographers flawlessly captured memories of the day including that special moment when we first saw each other. The pictures were absolutely amazing.
The bride's dress was diamond white, strapless with pearls and iridescence sequins. The bridesmaids and junior bridesmaids wore stone and ivory, and the flower girls wore diamond white. The groom and groomsmen wore black tuxedos. The bouquets included hydrangeas, roses, and limonium. The wedding site on the lake was a picture of natural elegance. The pergola was decorated to perfection with iron candlelabras, palms, ferns, and hydrangeas. Votives in small clear jars were suspended from the top of the pergola giving a mystical look at sunset. Lanterns hung from Shepherd's hooks decorated with satin ribbon and hydrangeas, marked the rows on the center aisle. The simplicity of the setting was so well suited to our personalities. Time seemed to stand still as we said the sacred vows that would mark the beginning our new life together.
We were taken by horse-drawn carriage to the reception site, where this surreal experience continued. The food and its presentation was far beyond our expectations, as were the wedding cakes. The DJs of Gin Creek were second to none, honoring our every request. Totally consumed by our love for our family and friends, and our love for each other, we shared a perfect evening. After a night of dining, dancing, and memories made, we departed under a blanket of lighted sparklers, knowing that our experience would be forever treasured.
From the time we arrived at Gin Creek, we knew that this would be a magical, unforgettable experience. The accommodations at Gin Creek allowed us to have our family and closest friends present the entire weekend which, for us, is priceless. The Gin Greek staff worked tirelessly to ensure that the entire weekend was perfect ... truly the ultimate, "Unforgettable Southern Experience", with memories to last a lifetime."

Kristin and Nate were married in a perfect ceremony overlooking the lake at Alcyone Plantation this past December. The couple chose Alcyone for it’s quaint southern charm and ideal location. After witnessing their ceremony beyond the back lawn, guests were treated to a coctail hour within the picket fence and back porch of the plantation’s ante-bellum home. As the sun set, everyone joined the couple on the front lawn amidst the grand oaks and pecan trees for dinner and then dancing. Having close friends and family at hand, the couple celebrated into the night.
