Featured Valdosta Wedding | Jenna Cain & Michael Swails

Congratulations to Jenna and Micheal on a perfect wedding! They say rain on your wedding day is good luck. Fortunately for these two there was just enough to rain bring some luck but not enough to spoil the celebration! Jenna chose a classic black and white color scheme, which created a timeless, elegant look. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, the couple had an intimate ceremony on the greens of Kinderlou Forrest Golf Club, and a rocking reception following in The Ravine.

Featured Valdosta Wedding | Cheryl Lynn Tomlinson & Benjamin Michael Wolf

Cheryl Lynn Tomlinson and Benjamin Michael Wolf were married on August 13, 2011 at the Crescent in Valdosta, Georgia. The warm summer evening began with a ceremony on the front steps of the antebellum mansion in front of 230 guests. Each guest viewed the ceremony under beautiful oak trees trimmed with Spanish moss. During the ceremony officiated by John Klimko Jr., Ben and Cheryl released dozens of monarch butterflies to symbolize a new beginning as a married couple. They exited as husband and wife to a classical guitarist and violinist playing "Can You Feel the Love Tonight."
Guests received a choice of sitting inside a reception hall elegantly draped in illuminated navy fabric accented by stunning fuchsia, blue and crème flowers, the historic home filled with antique furniture and keepsakes, or on the wrap-around porch with a beautiful view of the front yard gardens. A thank you message signed by the bride and groom was placed on each place setting for the guests.
The guests dined on a buffet of Southern delicacies including pineapple glazed ham, chicken divan, herb roasted potatoes, green beans, sweet potato soufflé, and pecan pie. The wedding cake was a three tiered white cake infused with a cream cheese and whipped cream topping and filling and drizzled with a fresh blueberry compote. For a convenient alternative, the bride and groom offered guests cupcakes in addition to the wedding cake.
After the wedding party was introduced inside the reception hall, the bride and groom danced to heart warming rendition of "Love Will Keep Us Alive," played by the Drivetrain Band of Atlanta. Following the first dance, the band cranked up the entertainment playing everything from Journey to Alabama as guests packed the reception hall and danced for hours.
The highlight of evening was when the father of the bride, Clyde Tomlinson, and father of one of the bridesmaids, Graham Fiveash unexpectedly sat in with the band and played a set which included the hits "Brown Eyed Girl" and "Folsom Prison Blues."
Cheryl and Ben sped off in a 1936 Ford Coupe leaving their guests to enjoy the rest of the spectacular evening.
